Inland Waterways Chairman Pay - EPA 1990 s. 155
EPA 1990 s. 155 allows paying the Inland Waterways Amenity Advisory Council chairman, barring loss of time allowances if paid.
In section 110 of the Transport Act 1968 (Inland Waterways Amenity Advisory Council) at the end there shall be inserted— The Secretary of State may, with the consent of the Treasury, pay the chairman of the Council out of money provided by Parliament such remuneration as the Secretary of State may determine; and where the chairman is in receipt of such remuneration he shall not be paid any allowance under subsection (6) of this section in respect of loss of remunerative time.

What it actually says
This provision amends section 110 of the Transport Act 1968 regarding the Inland Waterways Amenity Advisory Council. It permits the Secretary of State, with Treasury consent, to pay remuneration to the Council chairman out of money provided by Parliament.
Where the chairman receives this remuneration, they cannot receive any allowance under subsection (6) of section 110 for loss of remunerative time.
When it applies

- Parliament provides funds to pay remuneration to the chairman of the Inland Waterways Amenity Advisory Council.
- A Council chairman who receives statutory remuneration is denied an allowance under subsection (6) for lost working hours.

- Loss of time allowances under subsection (6) for a chairman who receives no remuneration.
- General financial support for environmental projects, which is governed by epa1990s.153.
- Superannuation arrangements for foundation staff, which are governed by epa1990s.154.
